Questions?
Currently, all visits are conducted virtually via a HIPPA-compliant platform. My goal is to make nutritional counseling as accessible as possible. You can meet with me from work, home, or wherever you feel most comfortable. I offer evening and weekend hours to accommodate people with busy schedules.
Your initial 60-minute visit will include a thorough assessment of your health history, eating patterns, food preferences, nutrition goals, and other aspects of your lifestyle that contribute to your health condition. I will ask a lot of questions to get a better understanding of how I can help you meet your goals and provide personalized recommendations.
In addition I will also provide you with education based on your underlying medical condition so you understand what exactly is going on with your health. We will set a game plan going forward on actionable steps you can take to address your nutrition goals.
Your health insurance will often cover your nutrition visit. To read more about using health insurance for your visits click HERE.
If your insurance will not cover your nutrition visit or you have a health insurance which I do not participate with – the cost of the initial 60-minute visit is $120.00
After your initial visit, subsequent 30-minute follow-ups are used for your accountability, addressing any obstacles you are facing, and changing your strategies or action plans as needed. We will also reflect on what is working well for you and celebrate your wins. I can answer any questions you may have along the way.
Some clients like to meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis at first and some like to meet monthly or every 3 months. I will recommend the frequency of follow-ups at the end of your initial visit but it is up to you to decide how often you want to meet.
Your insurance will often cover your follow-up visits but if your insurance will not cover them or you have a health insurance which I do not participate with – the cost of each 30–minute follow up visit is $60.00.
Once you book your initial visit, you will receive a welcome email with instructions on what to do PRIOR to your visit. I will reach out to you to make sure you have received it and you can ask me any questions you may have.
To comply with Tennessee’s requirements regardless of your insurance company, I will need a referral from your provider PRIOR to seeing you at your appointment. I have a referral form you can give to your provider HERE. I am also happy to fax it to your provider and obtain the referral for you.
**Note: If you have Medicare, the referral must come from a doctor (MD or DO). It cannot come from a nurse practitioner (APRN/NP) or physician assistant (PA).
If you are using your health insurance for your visits, please visit the Insurance page to learn more.
My initial visits (60-minutes) are $120.00 and each follow-up visit (30-minutes) is $60.00. Payment options include credit/debit cards, health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) cards. Please note, you will be responsible for paying at the time of your visit if your insurance is not being billed.
***Note: I do require a credit card on file to book your appointment. If you are using your insurance, the credit card will not be charged except to cover the cost of the visit or required co-pay in the event that services are not fully covered by insurance after your explanation of benefits (EOB) states what you are responsible for. I will wait for the claim to be processed to determine whether or not you have a co-pay and then charge the credit card you have on file for the co-pay amount. Reminder it is your responsibility to verify their insurance benefits beforehand to ensure no surprise bills.
